In the same way as an impedance test, the Bravo will record reflux in the oesophagus. The test usually takes place over a much longer period (at least 48 hours).
Oesophageal manometry provides information about the function of the oesophagus.
This is a test performed over a 24 hour period to determine how frequently fluid and/or gas from the stomach refluxes into the oesophagus.
